Dr. Fred W. Rankin,
y 271 W. Short St., `
Lexington, Kentucky.
Dear Dr. Rankin;
My heartiest congratulations for your
election as President of the American Medical
Association. We in Baltimore were all delighted
to hear of it.
It reminds me of the Carolina darlcy
being treated by a medical man who finally called
e. surgeon in consultation. The darky asked if the
surgeon were a ”cuttin" doctor and on receiving an
affirmative answer said, "My, my, I must be sick
to have a cuttin* doctor, cause that*s the highest
they is." So that is the way we feel about you
now since you added another laurel.
My best to you and to Coley when you
see him.
A Respectfully yours,
,%*7 M
Harry C. Hull.
