I have sold quite 11 lot of this stock since January. 1892. and all has been at this price. I have another broker’s (11Tering to—day in
which he quotes it at $111.00. This 15111111 will be well and favoral'1ly known and besides will have made 11 good business showing by
the time the Wor’ld s ban is on, and this stock I feel sure will be selling 111151512500 11 share by that time. I consider it a good purchase
111 the price I olIer it as a speculation, as Chicago bank deposits 11regi"o\~i110'1111 the while as you will see from the four statements of
1111111 footines of their National Banks: 1111 ls‘ebiuaiy 215th 1901. 51:53. 021. 816. 00; Jul v‘.)th, 1891 $147, 5'1410500 Decembei 2nd.1891.

I am the Vice-President of the Standard Fire Insurance Co. of Kansas City. Me. On account of the yen general losses trom
fires 1111 over the United Statesduring the past two years our Company thought it good business policy to retire and close up their
alfairs. We have about. $150,000 Kansas City real estate mortgage loans running from 1 to 5 years, drawing 15 to 7 per cent. The loans
vary in size from $1,000 to $20,000, and were taken afte ' a careful examination at about 50 per cent. 01' the property 'aluation.

We also have. $60,000 Gold bonds in denominations of $1,000 each. issued by the Grand A venue Cable Railroad of this city. We
regard them as a first-class investment and would not sell them if we remained in business. They are dated July 10th, 1888, 11nd due
.1 uly 111th. 1908, with interest at 5 per cent.. payable in gold on July 10th, and January 10th of each ycaratthe office of the. Central Trust
Company in New York. Mortgage to the Central Trust Company on the entire property of the Fifteenth Street and Westport Cable
Road lines and all equipments to secure the bonds. The interest is paid promptly, 11nd it is one of the best lines in the County. We
paid p. 1r for them, but in order to speedily close. up the affairs of the Standard we will sell them at .15 cents.

If you can use any or all of the bonds or any of our mortgages I will be glad to hear from you, and if you should Wish any t‘urth
inf'mmation regarding them I will be glad to furnish it to you.

I am no ~ negotiating 1"111 15200 000. 00 of notes made by the Morning Mining Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and have agreed
to take them on condition they are in every way all they are represented to be, as I have no doubt I shall find them to be on a careful
investigation. Thei 'acts in brief are these: This very \aluable mine belonged to the Spol' ane National Bank or Spokane, Wash, at
the time the Bank failed. This mine is generally known as one of the finest mining properties in all the country, and as soon as the
Bank failed, the Milwaukee parties, knowing it to be, worth millions, entered into negotiations with Receiverll. L. Chase, and finally
11011111111 it for the small sum of $400,000.01), one-half cash and the balance 111 equal p11ym1.111tsas follows: Two notes of $20,000.00 each and
one for $211.0151i.60 in 12 months, the same number and amounts notes due in 18 1110111'111sand the same in two years. These notes are dated
Milwaukee,Wis.,April .,1892. 11nd draw 7 per cent. from date until 11111t11ri1y. 11nd are payable at the Merchants Exchange Bank, Milwaukee.

I have a list of all the stockholders and the. amount of stock they have. 11nd have as best I could looked into their commercial

rating. While I can only find eightor ten of" them, these are rated from $100. 000 to $1 511110011 Now as 11 rule I 111110 never taken to
mining schemes as investments. but knowing of the value of this mine and the Spokane pariies giving me the high standing of the
Stockholders and the Company. is how I am otl'ering it As I s111ted. they paid $2110 1100 and then put in $100, 1100 cash to increase the
works and build a concentrating plant. The C.11npany is capitalized foi' $500 1100, :i-5ths paid up 11nd the other 2-5ths1s payable on call
to protectthese notes, 11nd the Wisconsin 111w makes the stockholder liable for his full\ paid 11p stmk subscribed for

The. {eceiver holds an iron clad 1nortg1.1ge on the property to secuiethe deferred notes these papers were drawn by the best kno“ 11
lawyers in the country, Messrs. \ i1 as, \Vinkler..111‘11nders, Smith 11nd Hottum, ol Milw: 111111 1.11 I will have the mortgage assigned own
and held in trust until these notes and interest are paid, which I am sure will be promptly at 111aturity. The only objection I have
to them, the interest folloy's instead of in advance : at the same time it draws a special good rate and a good security. The. price isface
of notes and accrued interesttodate of sale lrom April 1st. Should you wish further information about them I will be glad to write
you fully. Remember there are six $211,000. "1nd three $26,000.66 notes, making nine notes in all. Hoping to have your order for one
or all of them.

There is '11 large new Brewery. built in 1801‘ at T1 1eoma. Wash , at a cost 01 $231), 01111 that 'an be bought cheap. It you
know of anyone wanting an investment of this kind I will be glad to have even put them in communication with me. The Brewwy
has an annual capacity 111' 50,000 barrels. and I am told the net profit on 11 barrel is from $2.00 to $3.00. The property is not in operation
as the owner built a much more expensive plant than he had funds for. and a company in which 1 am a stockholder loaned him, and
we now have a mortgage and will have to take it. I would take 251) shares of stock in a $300 01 10 stock company that would take it
and Operate it. If you or your friends would like to take stock in it please advise me. and I will undertake to stock it 11nd put it in a
first-class business management. If this can be done I am confident it will pay 30 to 40 per cent. pe' annum: as that is a good country
for that business. as they produce the finest Hops. Barley, water. &c. in the world. and these are the prominent materials used.

Yours respectfully, - I
