INTRODUCTION
Since 1933, the Kentucky State Department of Education has published the

Educational Bulletin which contains articles in such areas as guidance services,

art education, administrative planning, library service, and standardized test—
ing. At present, however, no annual index nor cumulative listing exists to this
valuable material. Realizing the need to make the many excellent titles more

accessible to the user, this author has prepared a checklist of all the Educational

A portion of this checklist originally appeared as the Margaret 1, King

Library Occasional Contribution Number §§_from the University of Kentucky. As

compiled by the Reference Department staff of the Library, it covered the years
1933 through 1952. Obviously I am indebted to their scrupulous efforts and
appreciate permission to quote their work. My predecessor, Elizabeth R. Van
Horne, attempted to update the original for the span of years 1952—1962. Although
I have relied in part on the work of these other people, further editing has been
done and I am responsible for any errors or omissions that may occur.

The checklist is arranged chronologically beginning in 1933 with Volume
One, Number One and ending in 1972 with Volume Forty, Number Ten. In the event
no bulletin was published in a particular month it is so indicated by "None
published." In most cases, revised works are indicated and references are
provided referring to the previous editions. In recent years bulletins have
been misnumbered but they appear in the checklist in ”correct order.” The
brackets indicate the volume and number as publised.

The author is confident that this compilation will encourage further use
of these materials for ”he who knows where knowledge is, is closest to possessing
it." And thus possessing knowledge, help advance the education of the children

of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
