"University of Kentucky's Holmes Hall Under Construction--The footer and the foundation have been completed for Holmes Hall, new dorm for girl's at the University of Kentucky. Named for UK's Dean of Women, Sarah B. Holmes, the building has been designed to house 289 women. The brick and stone structure is expected to be completed by September of 1957. Architect for the building is the Lexington firm of Brock and Johnson, and the contractor is the Gilson Construction Company, also of Lexington." Received December 20, 1956 from Public Relations
